Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 - Nov 15 11 B
Here are some more matches I spectated. Not to worry; I will start actually playing very soon. Not online matches yet, as I don't feel like I'm ready for them yet though. Instead, I'll start with Mission Mode, where you're given a string of moves and told to do all of them as one continuous combo. This is pretty much the closest you'll get to a tutorial, I suppose. I did read the manual (and you should always do so--even if it's 3 pages long like Sonic Generations'), and I'm not really understanding everything, so I think this will help. nd yes, I'll be putting up videos of me attempting Mission Mode, where you'll also get insight into who these characters are and what they've done.
But you're just here to see Phoenix Wright, aren't you?
Again, the featured player here is my acquaintance, Falco18, who goes by Lombardi88 here.
Match #5
DattNewNew: Iron Fist, Chun-Li, and Taskmaster
vs.
lordLEONIDAS: Vergil, Taskmaster, and Frank West
No Falco18 here--he had an Internet snafu and was disconnected out of his own lobby. But he'll be back again. You'll get to see three characters here who weren't in the original Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Iron Fist is on the Marvel side and is a super martial-artist. Vergil is from Capcom's Devil May Cry series and desperately wants to be Dante's equal. Frank West is from Capcom's Dead Rising and is a war photographer. I'll give more detail on these guys later. Sorry for it fading out at the beginning. The screen dims from inactivity for after some time to prevent screen burn.
Match #6
m4ny1: Rocket Raccoon, Chun-Li, and Deadpool
vs.
Sabinchan: Firebrand, Hawkeye, and Dr. Strange
Here are some more new characters. Rocket Raccoon is one of Marvel's guardians of Earth (and is indeed a talking raccoon). Firebrand is from Capcom's Ghosts n' Goblins (known as Red Arremer in Japan) and was a boss character popular enough to get his own game. Hawkeye is one of the Marvel Avengers and specializes in archery. Dr. Strange is the Marvel defense against extradimensional threats. Sabinchan's team happens to all be specialized in keeping distance away from the opponent with Firebrand while using Hawkeye's and Dr. Strange's long range techniques to simultaneously whittle down opponents while keeping them away. You may notice some voice chat here too--someone is playing The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker in m4ny1's (real life physical) room.
Match #7
Lombardi88: Tron, Chun-Li, and Arthur
vs.
Campid1: Vergil, Frank West, and Phoenix Wright
One more new character to show: Phoenix Wright. Yeah, that's who you were waiting for, huh? Phoenix Wright (known as Naruhodo-san in Japan) is Capcom's most famous fictional defense attorney from the Ace Attorney series. Here, he shows up in battle with his assistant Maya. You'll have to go through Vergil first though, whom I hear is showing up a lot right now. There is a lot of lag in this match, and even more so in the following one--I took the worst of it out so it remains watchable.
Match #8
Lombardi88: Phoenix Wright, Thor, and Deadpool
vs.
Campid1: Vergil, Akuma, and Rocket Raccoon
I had already cut about 2 minutes of still lag out of this match, and that was pretty much all I could excise out before the video suffered some more. It still looks super choppy, and the audio is now all screwed up, but hopefully this is watchable. Your patience will be rewarded with what you see in the thumbnail image (when it updates properly).
