Update on $200 Gaming Build & "Free" Hard Drives.
**(EDIT IN - I thought I would address that this is canadian $$ and when picking the same (or as similar as possible) components in the US section, I get about $140 to $150. )
Parts are in, but we have a backordered case to wait for.
SATA hard drives are everywhere. You can find them in the Electronics section of dumps (they usually have a electronics section for it), on garbage day, in recycle centers, from relatives who have old machines they dont want anymore. You can even post something in Kijiji saying that you will pick up old PCs (you'd be surprised how much people will give away if its unused in their basement).
Another area you'll find many are external hard drives. The logic boards go on them and the drive is still fine. People will throw these away in the electronics bins for dump or recycling.
Anyway, I thought I would give a quick update from the part picker video - just so you know where we're at. :-D
