Using the brain of Colin to film DS games in good quality.
This video is made for the newer/recent subscribers. Im not sure if its the recent Mario 64/ NSMB speed runs or the Shaymin Tweaking glitch instruction video. But this is how I film my DS games. You see at the very start of the video that it is filmed sideways. With some editing on Adobe Premiere I can place it in the correct position. Unfortunately my camera isnt very accurate on recording blue based colours.
After the 2 double battles it then shows the Legendary Titans cut scene which shows that filming the DS sideways is also possible to get 2 screens on 1 video.
The 4th Gen speed running discussion has gone pretty quiet recently. I have no intention of making a speed run at this time but I might at least show this lucky battle against Team Galactic (and why Infernape is good for speed running)
My Infernape stats (at level 58)
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk) not the best nature for speed running but it can be a 3HKOed from Cyrus Gyarados in the final battle (only if it has Reflect support and then used Close Combat once)
Hp 164
Atk 135 (90%)
Def 125 (110%)
Sp Atk 150
Sp Def 94
Speed 150
Im assuming (in Platinum only since there are some tougher battles) that a Lucky Egg run with all optional battles skipped (Both trainers & Wild Pkmn) would lead Infernape up to around level 55ish.
For the first double battle in this video instead of Alakazam, you could get a Medicham or a Bronzong in Mt.Coronet and teach Psychic via TM nearby Celestic Town. They are good partners for the first double battle in this video to take out 2 Croagunk.
The second double battle looks pretty impressive to watch:
The left Bronzor uses Reflect whilst the other Bronzor uses Light Screen.
For a speed run you could use either:
Physical
Flame Wheel (1/2 as powerful compared to Flare Blitz, no recoil and more PP, useful for Blaze Sweeping)
Flare Blitz (More powerful, nasty recoil, might be useful for Blaze Sweeping)
Special
Ember (Weak special Fire move, high PP, good on weak monsters like Snover)
FlameThrower (2x more powerful than Ember, requires a visit to Fuego Fireworks for a TM or level up Chimchar around level 40ish to learn it naturally)
Other moves:
Close Combat (Very powerful move, lowers both defence types)
Mach Punch (Deadly on weaklings, Sneasel & Weavile)
Grass Knot (Deadly on Water types, Gyarados deals a nasty 120 base power from it)
My Infernape didnt have any TM moves taught because I wasnt speed running this game (saving it for Battle Frontier).
Golbats Air Cutter and Bronzors Extrasensory are 2 moves to watch out in the 2nd double battle. Fortunately, Barry isn't a complete moron than I thought he was (seriously his Munchlax made a huge difference)
An Attack + Nature with +1 Attack boost (X Atk or Blaze) should OHKO Golbat with Flame Wheel and possibly Stuntank with Close Combat (Only X atk)
If Infernape does end up using Flamethrower as his main move then take out the right Bronzor mainly because the base power is higher with no drawbacks & its much easier to OHKO Golbat with Blaze boosted Flamethrower.
