Vasilisa the Beautiful | A Russian Fairy Tale
Vasilisa's mother, on her death bed, grants her daughter a special gift: her parental blessing and a lovely Montanka doll. But this is no ordinary doll however, as with a little love and food, the doll grants Vasilisa comfort, encouragement, advice, and helps her to solve problems that she encounters. With the aid of this magic doll, Vasilisa must face the evils of her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, and later must contend with the barbarism of Baba Yaga!
