While We Wait Here | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary
123Today we archive a horror game that came out last year that I had my eye on for a while. While We Wait Here promised a horror game experience set in a small diner during an apocalypse. Besides getting to know all the interesting characters, you will also be doing work like cooking and preparing the meals and drinks for the customers. Therefore it had some influences from games like Happy's Humble Burger Farm which is one of my favorite horror games of all time.
But what I did not expect was that While We Wait Here actually tells a very tragic, but real story that so many of us deal with on a daily basis. It starts out pretty normal and has some twists and turns, but by the end I understood what the game was saying and actually made me think about life quite a bit. Even though the point that the game is trying to make is quite simple and logical, I had never seen it displayed like this in a videogame. You get to know the customers and help them with various struggles and your advice will shape their future more than you would think.
I loved the atmosphere, I loved the characters, I loved the cozy feeling of working at the diner. And on top of all that the meaning of the game also was something I loved.
While We Wait Here is a must play for horror fans or those who love adventure games.
