After a million years and some delay, I finally got around to putting together this long awaited guide to installing Workbench and WHDLoad on your WinUAE Amiga package.
Yet when I say 'All you need is the WHDload file', that is slightly confusing of me, sorry about that. Doing this will work if you intend to use pre-installs only, but in any case, its best to copy the full contents of C and S of Whdload 17.2 (or above), just as shown in the video, in order to install ADFs like Putty Squad. You see there is also a program in C called RawDIC which is a raw disk copier. The latest installers sometimes require the most up to date version of RawDIC to work, so best to copy everything over during the install as shown.
All the rest of the video is basically just showing you how to handle a situation if error messages pop up, and various other install methods. Its easy, and not as hard as some forums say! I show you how to install pre-installed games, how to install a game which requires an A500 ROM, and we also install the newly released Putty Squad using the ADFs and the Putty Squad WHD installer package.
Notes: The registration key installation footage was recorded 22 Nov 2012; thats 12 months before making this video!
