World Heroes (Game Play)
0World Heroes was one of the first SNK fighting games that I played. The thing I liked about this game is that you could choose between a normal match or a death match. To me the death matches were more interesting because I liked pushing opponents into the various bombs, spikes, electric fields, or flames. While this game has your typical palette swap characters (Hanzo & Fuuma), I thought some of the characters they created were interesting. There was a Bruce Lee-like character, a Joan of Arc-like character, a Genghis Kahn-like character, a Hulk Hogan look-a-like with red, white, & blue, a character based on Grigori Rasputin, simply named Rasputin, & a character that resembles the Terminator, M. Bison, & Dhalsim all wrapped up into one. Eventually, you have to fight a boss character named Geegus, which has powers similar to that of Shang Tsung (by transforming into other characters).
This game did well enough to get a couple more sequels, but I prefer the original the best. The only thing I didn't like about this game was that all of the death match stages had the same music. If you wanted a variety of music, you had to play normal matches. This version is the one I purchased on the Playstation Network under the title ACA Neo-Geo World Heroes.
