A representative of the Belgian King has joined veterans at a ceremony to honour British soldiers killed in Belgium at the end of the Second World War. A completely refurbished memorial to 49th (West Riding) Infantry Division - known as the Polar Bears - has been unveiled at Wuustwezel near the Dutch border. The Division's troops liberated the town in October 1944 but there were heavy losses as they repelled a German counter-attack.
