Final fight of the game's 9th chapter. Heavy Demolition Machinery Wrecking Ball Crane was another boss battle in the same chapter, and a flashy one at that, but I opted against including it in my video series, even though the abundance of human enemies in the Yakuza series is something you could try and overcompensate for.

The boss is unique for us facing Nanba instead of having him on our side for a change, but it is Reiji Ishioda who's the main boss here. Accompanied by Nanba and a couple mooks, who can call for backup when left alive, Ishioda is the first boss who can one-shot seemingly any party member of ours unboosted. As my armour was whatever I bought before a dungeon a chapter or two ago, I thought it was time for an upgrade. I went with protective gear in the 50-60K yen range, which seemed reasonable enough.

Both Adachi and Eri are prepared to use their classes' respective signature attacks in this one, Enforcer's Paralysis Prongs inflicting absolutely dire damage against Reiji - nearly 1,400 damage is dealt thanks to exploiting the boss's electric weakness. Eri is, however, very helpful in taking out the regular foes, preventing them from calling backup... if we're lucky to target them that is.

Nanba? He doesn't have as much health and still goes down fairly quickly by taking a few attacks. Offensively, he does some of the things he's done for us previously when fighting in our party, like breathing fire. Saeko doesn't even need to spam her AoE heal every turn to keep everyone alive, and soon enough you want everyone KO'd for Ichiban to end the battle.

This is the first human boss in a while that we're actually not able to poison. Comparatively, the damage he receives from normal attacks is quite high, especially in contrast to prior fights, and since he has a counterattack that makes it easy to set up other characters to fall in a timely fashion.
