Quake II's multiplayer was never quite as popular as QuakeWorld or Quake III, but it still has its moments. This is DaHanG vs PURRI at QuakeCon 2007. In a way, this video shows off both the greatest strengths and weaknesses of Yamagi Quake 2's HRTF. Player "HUP" sounds seem disproportionately louder than footstep or weapon sounds. It's kind of why I had to do a 1v1 duel instead of TDM this time. Still, the directional accuracy of Yamagi Quake 2's HRTF is top-notch. You can really hear all those missed RL and RG shots. It's also quite eye-opening, because at times you can see when DaHanG guesses PURRI's approaches wrong. With HRTF, it would've taken all the guesswork out.

Thanks to daelmun of ESReality for uploading this excellent demo. The RG killstreak at 13:17 has to be one of the most impressive feats I've ever seen in an arena shooter.
