The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB has released results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

JAMB Registrar,Prof Ishaq Oloyede who announced this at the Board headquarters in Abuja said about 1.8 million candidates that sat for the examination scored above 200.

He however clarified that
64,624 results are under investigation for various reasons, including verification, procedural issues, and examination misconduct.


Further analysis of the results indicate a slight improvement in the performance of the candidates compared to previous years.

The UTME experienced some hiccups with 25 sessions disrupted in 95 centers,but were quickly addressed by the board.
Oloyede also had this to say about examination infractions.

A total of 1,989,668 candidates registered for the examination, representing a 24.7% increase from the previous year. However, 80,810 candidates were absent, while 2,899 were present but unverified.
