An educational organisation, Fides Et Ratio Academy has disclosed plans to roll out a massive training programme that will bridge the skill gap in the country.

Chief Executive Officer of the Academy, Paul Chukwuma, made this known at a media parley with education correspondents in Abuja.

Chukwuma who emphasised the urgent need to anchor Nigeria's education system on skill development rather than mere certificates, said the planned training programme will leverage on information and communication technology skills that will harness the talents of youths to address national challenges.

The Fides Et Ratio Academy CEO, who owns a university in East Africa, also canvassed reasons why the media should push the agenda of ICT skills development, attributing the present gap to the unemployment crisis in the country.

The training Programme is expected to be unveiled next month.
