A coalition of Concerned Lawyers have emphasised the need for anti graft agencies to be professional and conduct their operations within the confines of the law.

The coalition also kick against what they referred to as media trial, saying it is not healthy in the quest for justice.

Speaking at a news conference in Abuja, on upholding the Rule of Law, Abuse of Executive and Prosecutorial Power, in relation to the matter of former Governor Yaya Bello, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, spokesperson of the coalition Jesutega Onokpasa said the whole scenario showcase strong suspicion of vendetta.

The Group further condemned the decision of the anti graft agency to take the matter before a court of competent jurisdiction to
the public space.

They also alleged the possibility of the EFCC playing the script of an interested party with scores to grind with Yahaya Bello.

However, the coalition urged the former Governor to make himself available for trial, only when he is served with a court summon.
