Soldiers from 21 Signal Regiment have been given a special welcome home today at their base in Colerne, Wiltshire. Just a few days ago, 244 Signal Squadron, known as "Alpha Troop" returned from a six-month tour of Afghanistan where they worked as part of the Joint Helicopter Force on Herrick 13. As part of 21 Signal Regiment, Alpha Troop provided ground to air communications in addition to command support to the Joint Helicopter Force in Afghanistan.
