Ifrit is such a quaint little boss after playing through all of LOT2. Anyway, Ifrit has a fixed turn pattern:

1. Flowing Hellfire (hard hitting FIR AOE)
2. Tackle (single target attack)
3. Slash (single target attack)
4. Fireball (single target FIR attack)

Ifrit repeats this until they (or you) are defeated. There is some RNG (Ifrit can target different slots with Tackle, Slash and Fireball. There's also this bug where Ifrit skips straight to Flowing Hellfire if there are empty slots in front) but this fight is otherwise static. If you're having trouble remembering the pattern, just remember "Fireball builds up to Hellfire".

Have characters that can tank Flowing Hellfire on turn 1, have the survivors switch in attackers and supports, prepare to switch in tanks once Ifrit uses Fireball, tank Flowing Hellfire again and then repeat the process. It's easier than it sounds. Hellfire is only super dangerous on the first turn (and only because Ifrit usually acts first). It's less scary when you have Reimu's buffs active.

The first step to preparing for this fight is looking at everybody's FIR affinity. Cirno obviously won't be tanking the attack, but Minoriko's FIR affinity is also pretty bad. Boost everybody's FIR affinity in the Library. You can also try and grind for Bomb Rings on 3F. But note that the drop rate is 3.42% and Ifrit isn't THAT difficult. You will also want to upgrade the HP of your Hellfire tanks. Your tanks only need enough to survive that attack every four turns (and you can heal / put them in the back afterwards).

If you're really stingy, don't upgrade anyone and just put characters you dislike in Slots 3 and 4 to "tank" Flowing Hellfire that way.

Overall, this is a very simple fight. This actually won't be the last time you see this type of fight (with fixed boss patterns).
