6Hey friends! Today we're back with a particularly awesome episode of Language Learning Swedish -- an episode that has a ton of references to old video games!
But before we get to that, we should mention the first part of the level, which is "Verktig" -- a level showing off different tools and what they are called in Swedish. This is a great theme for a Super Mario World level, because so many of the obstacles are tools. You have the castle drills and the circular saws that were seen in this hack, and you might even be able to extend this further if you're willing to imagine Thwomps as vicegrips or something like that.
Next we have a huge sports level with about 10 or 15 different exits in it, which is by far our biggest level yet! There's some classic sports like baseball or American football, but towards the end is my favourite part -- the eSports section.
The eSports section shows off a bunch of recreations of old Atari and NES games, reimagined in the Super Mario World universe. You have things like Wigglers coming down hills to represent Centipede, or Bob-ombs floating down for Missile Command, or autoscrolling platform-dodgers to represent Moon Patrol. I don't want to give away all the games here because I know some people read this description first, but there's a ton more to check out in the episode!
I've said it before and I'll say it again -- this kind of creativity is really interesting to me. I love seeing something designed within limitations, and taking classic NES and Atari titles and making them work in Super Mario World is a perfect example of that. Plus I just love retro games in general, so getting to see Donkey Kong done up in SMW fashion is fun in and of itself!

This hack doesn't have a SMWCentral.net page attached to it, and most of the information you need to know about it is in the title -- it's a hack for learning Swedish! One thing to note is that this is version 1.0 and further changes will most likely be made.
