Today's level is a cool one -- it's a weapon challenge where you're supposed to use certain special weapons to beat different arrangements of enemies or obstacles

I really enjoy challenges like these, and they are well thought out and pretty tricky. I could have gotten through this level much easier if I used whatever I wanted, but using the weapons that were recommended made some of the fights really challenging.

I believe this level was uploaded before the "Remove Weapons" sprite was added to the game, so we have all weapons available, but there are indicators telling you which ones you're supposed to use. The interesting thing about this is it almost gives the level two difficulties... you can either blast through it with whatever the best weapon you have for the job is, or you can follow the recommendations for the "true challenge".

I love levels like this, and I mean both weapon-oriented gimmick levels and levels that have a sliding optional difficulty curve. I believe the difficulty curve might have been a matter of necessity without the weapon capsules, but either way it helped make the level even cooler in my opinion.

Unfortunately, I didn't find the optional E-Tank, so I couldn't try the ultimate Napalm Man boss kill challenge with the Plant Barrier. I think I might have missed it during the Shine Hovering part, but I could have missed something else. I might go back for it some day!
