5 simple tips for Akira and Oro in Street Fighter 5 (Re-upload from 2021)
3Akira and Oro were released for Street Fighter 5 on August 16, 2021 and if you haven't been able to invest much time into either character, we've got a quick hitting video which offers up five tips for playing as, or against both characters.
The video is presented in a really straight-forward list format, which makes it easy to follow and see the key points you should focus on, and it also includes a good bit of discussion with my partner in crime, John "Velociraptor" Guerrero.
The main focus for Akira is on her rushdown and footsies style of play, which is counter balanced with her stubby attacks and somewhat limited options in neutral. She makes up for these weaknesses by having a strong V-Trigger which summons her brother Daigo, and other strengths which are documented below.
As for Oro, he's a very slippery character with explosive and highly damaging V-Triggers, which can turn a bout around very quickly. The turtle hermit is very difficult to play and has a plethora of tools players must familiarize themselves with to maximize his capabilities.
Both characters have received a fairly warm reception in the fighting game community so far, and the main complaints we've heard have been based around if some aspects of Oro's Tengu Stone V-Trigger 2 may be too powerful.
