#685 Tekken 3 (ARC) Hidden Characters (4/8): Kuma playthrough.
A playthrough of the hidden character Kuma in the arcade version of Namco's Tekken 3.
Rip Kuma I, we bearly knew you.
The late Kuma I is succeeded by Kuma II. What's the difference between the two? Not a whole lot, really. He has the majority of the exact same moves from Tekken 2. As his Heihachi's pet however, he has gained a few of his master's moves this time, such as his f, f + 2 move. Generally however, he's still mostly just Jack-esque, which is perfectly fine with me considering Jack's moveset starts to really come into its own from this game and onwards. He also has this hilarious Russian dancing bear move, where he can move backwards slowly. If this hits the opponent it deals tremendous damage too, as if you didn't already realise he was supposed to be comic relief.
Kuma is actually the most consistent hidden character in the entire series, having been a boss and/or hidden character in Tekkens 1, 2, 3, Tag, 4 and 5. Kinda funny that the comic relief character is present throughout the entire series; reminds me a bit of C-3PO and R2 in the Star Wars films.
Kuma also gains a love interest for whatever reason in this game, a nonsensical subplot which I'll talk a little more about in a few videos time.
Kuma's a good character here as always, therefore. Difficult to find any complaints to say about a bit powerful bear who can smash people into the ground.
Next up, the last true hidden character for this game. And, well, he's not even really a true character. Bizarre game, this one.
Edit: Also, today marks two months of Tekken vids!
