A playthrough of the hidden school uniform outfit of Ling Xiaoyu in the arcade version of Namco's Tekken 3.

The second hidden costume belongs to Ling Xiaoyu, newcomer to the series and (sort of) love interest to Jin Kazama. She utilises a somewhat awkward style of Kung Fu, which goes through a lot of different stances and styles in order to utilise powerful attacks and combos. There's definitely something there, but it's not something which I've ever taken too. When it comes to stances, I prefer what we'll see with Lee Chaolan; a strong, overarching moveset with a stance or two which provide useful, additional moves. Having them (usually) be such an intricate part of the moveset never does much for me, a rant which I'll continue with Lei when we get to Tekken 4.

Finally enough though, Xiaoyu has one surprisingly broken move; her f+3 has a huge hit area and nearly always catches the opponents off-guard. It's quite cheap, I won't deny, but sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do to get buy. Or something to that effect.

And we're still not done with the arcade version of Tekken 3. Two videos left for it, and they're pretty weird to say the least. See you then.
