Freedom Fighters was a multi-console release that was huge in my childhood. It came out for the PC, Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2 which is the version I was playing. It's a third-person shooter that aims for accessibility with its lack of a crosshair, and for its action packed levels that goes for a multi-level approach, allowing you to change levels on the fly, or complete a handful of objectives in one level to change the output of another.

This is a case of alternate history where the USSR tries to take over America. You play as one of two Italian plumber brothers, and get recruited as a freedom fighter, slowly trying to take New York back from the Soviets.

I LOVED this game when I played it as a kid, and I was curious to now see if it aged well. I did my best to take off my nostalgic lens, and tried to look at this objectively. Did it age well? Find out here.
