CarnEvil is an arcade rail shooter developed by Midway for the Halloween in 1998. It provides a nice balance of horror and comedy. You've got dinosaurs that skip towards you, eyeclops, fast food workers that moon you, a giant baby, and a ghost of a haunted house who's stacked and wears a BDSM outfit. I'm not that knowledgable on rail shooters, but loved the few I've tried out. This was subject to controversy because one of the bosses is a giant baby. LA Weekly also called this the most twisted game ever.
This begins with a tour through a cemetery. Your character sneaks out of the tour and goes to the gravestone of Ludwig von Tokkentakker. There's a gold coin sitting in a slot. He takes the coin and puts it in the mouth of a jester, and an amusement park rises out of the ground. With this he must complete some rides.
The animations of this are fluid, and the enemy variety just rules. How is this game overall though? Find out here.
