Hey everyone, Welcome back to another edition of PlayStation GameZown Mini Reviews, where we take a look into PlayStation 3s Multiplatform, and Exclusive games. Due to a few subscriber requests to do another Pioneer LaserActive video, I went ahead and made the following informational video about the rare and expensive machine. Sadly, not everything could be discussed about this machine in a tiny 15 minute episode, so it had to be made into two seperate videos. So sit back and enjoy "A Special Look into the Pioneer LaserActive - Volume 1".

In this video I will be discussing the following about the Pioneer LaserActive model CLD-A100:

Part 1: A short introduction to the system

-The LaserActive system cost
-The type of media the LaserActive can play right out of the box
-What a LaserDisc looks like and how much they sold for
-A funny take on those whom bought the system without a PAC back in '93 XD
-An explanation of how to make the LaserActive compatible with games using a PAC

Part 2: The 7 PAC's of Wonder

-US Sega Genesis / SegaCD - PAC S10
-JPN Sega Megadrive / MegaCD - PAC S1
-Information about region lockout using the 2 mentioned Sega PACs.
-US TurboGrafX 16 / Turbo Duo - PAC N10

-Information about region lockout using the Turbo Duo / PC Engine PACs + Information about stability.
-JPN PC Engine / PCE Duo NEC LD-Rom2 - PAC LP1 (Limited Edition PAC N1 Clone)
-Information about the compatibility of CD+G Discs with the PACs mentioned above.
-Price and release date information on the PACs above
-LaserActive Karaoke Pack - PAC K1 general information
-Computer Interface Pack - PAC PC1 general information

Part 3: Other facts about the Pioneer LaserActive

-Information about the LaserActive. Where it stands as a LaserDisc Player, the sound output of the system, and noting that it does not autoflip the LD's.
-Information about the Digital Memory function on the Pioneer LaserActive, and a small note about being able to add s-video to the LaserActive system.
-A look at the back of the Pioneer LaserActive CLD-A100 system showing all the different outputs.
-The wrapup discussing the 3DO vs the LaserActive, explaining why the LaserActive died, and how many systems sold.

That's all of Volume 1 of "A Special Look into the Pioneer LaserActive". Be sure to check out Volume 2 "LaserActive Games and Accessories" Coming Soon to the PlayStation GameZown!

If you have any comments/questions about the video, please feel free to comment below!

SPECIAL NOTE: Volume 2 has been postponed for over 3 years now, and possibly will not be made, and I do apologize for that. I have been extremely busy and never was able to gather all the needed material to finish that video. I hope to do it one day, but I know it won't be any time soon. Again, I am sorry about that. I hope you like the other videos I have to watch in the meantime. Thank you for your patience.
