A Steak Sandwich for the people! | Pesto Gochujang Steak Sandwich recipe #shorts
No fancy pants today 😂😂
Just a tried and true pan sear on this beautiful NY Strip that works so well with this sandwich!
Ingredients:
• 1 NY Strip
• salt and pepper
• 2 tbsp beef tallow
• ciabatta bread
• 1-2 tbsp pesto
• handful of arugula
• 4-6 piece of the cooked steak
• 2 slices of havarti cheese
• gochujang Mayo
Instructions:
1. Start by seasoning up your steak however you want, I’m just using salt and pepper. Then you can heat up a large skillet with the beef tallow.
2. When the skillet is hot, and tallow is as well, carefully place the steak in, fat cap first. Sear the fat cap for 30-45 seconds or so. Then flip to the side and cook for 3-4 mins per side.
3. When the steak hits an internal of 125-129°, pull it out and let it rest.
4. Slice the steak and set aside, then build the sandwich starting with the toasted ciabatta, pesto, arugula, steak, havarti cheese, and gochujang Mayo. Then place the top bun on.
5. Slice and serve!!
