Outstanding acts of bravery are being recognised in the latest Operational Honours.

There is a Military Cross for a soldier who threw himself on top of a colleague to protect him from a grenade blast and the first Air Force Cross is awarded to an Apache pilot.

There is also a posthumous Mention in Dispatches for Lance Corporal Liam Tasker, recognised as the most successful explosives dog handler since operations in Afghanistan began.
