Don't worry folks- the Alex Kidd and the Miracle Gems project is still alive! Progress has continued slowly, and the third full zone, Pit Pot Parlor, is now (roughly) complete, and showcased here in this video.

For those who don't know, Pit Pot was a 1985 Sega Master System game that starred a young knight (later confirmed to be Egle, Alex Kidd's brother) saving a princess (later confirmed to be Princess Lora) from a tower full of traps and puzzles, where she had been imprisoned by an evil sorceress. This zone loosely takes inspiration from that game, but combines the tower, gold and grey crumbling tiles, and bright wall paintings from Pit Pot with the flashing lights, bumpers, and springs of an arcade inspired zone.

Part of the fangame I'm working on starring Alex Kidd, made in Clickteam Fusion 2.5 using the Not-So-Simple Sonic Worlds fan engine.
