After a long time, I've finished the intro cutscene for Alex Kidd and the Miracle Gems! The intro is split into three parts. The first is a sort of comic collage, inspired by the original Alex Kidd in Miracle World title screen. The second part is more of a sprite animation, showing Janken actually stealing the Miracle Gems from the Shrine of the Stars. And the third is a longer sort of, slideshow cutscene introducing Alex, Stella, and GF, giving them a little character & personality, and telling what's at stake.

I'm pretty happy with how this came out! I feel like it captures the story well, but in a quick enough way that it doesn't overstay its welcome. I'm not much of an animator, and barely much of an artist, so I'm really happy with how this all came together overall. #Alexkidd #fangame #sonicfangames #cutscene
