The prompt for cutting anything with a torch is glitchy and allows some odd loopholes.

First, examining the torch prompt and leaning at the same time. After exiting the cutting mini-game, Ripley is now stuck in a leaning mode without even pressing the button for it. Trying to lean again lets her move again, and she continues to lean automatically as you just walk around the place. This is pretty unusual and it looks like she suddenly became drunk.

Normally you cannot examine prompts or move at all while leaning, but during auto-lean both are possible. I know at least one sequence break is done in Alien: Isolation by leaning between two doors and activating a prompt from a wrong direction... Auto-leaning should make something like this far easier and perhaps enable new sequence breaks around the game. The biggest problem is that torch cutting prompts aren't all that common, and also that auto-lean glitch ends if you examine most other prompts.

Oddly enough, this glitch can be stacked repeatedly. After stacking the glitch, some action that would normally end lean mode (like aiming or climbing) does not necessarily end the glitch - it just reduces the glitch stack by one. This ensures that with some set-up time you can take glitch almost anywhere in the game? You can also lean while aiming if you have stacked the glitch more than once.

Another loophole, slightly less promising, is that your flare glitches up when examining the plasma torch prompt. Unlike with other prompts, the lit flare in Ripley's hands simply disappears. She no longer holds it, yet it is still burning.

If you now switch away to a weapon and then back to the flare, Ripley takes out a lit flare - normally impossible and a glitch in itself. Alternatively, if you switch to another type of gear (like ESP Bomb) and then back to flare, your flares become disabled indefinitely. Can't use them or hold them in hand any longer until you reload the game or switch maps.

There could still some other effects that I missed... I wasn't planning on really glitching this game, but I might still look into some things before moving on.

EDIT: apparently the auto-lean glitch works with Rewire-prompts as well?
