In this video, we look at the graphics settings in apex legends battle royale and compare the graphics, framerate(fps) performance on the Xbox one s, the Xbox one x and a gaming pc with a budget graphics card to figure out which of these platform offers the best experience.

To be able to max out Apex Legends you need a graphics card with at least 8GB VRAM or video memory. Graphics card such as Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070, RTX 2070 or AMD RX 590 or Vega 56 would meet this requirement.

Finding the best graphics settings is important, especially if youre sitting on a budget graphics card with less video memory to avoid low framerate and lag or stutter.

About this video:
In this video we look at the graphics settings of apex legends on a budget gaming pc with a gtx 970 and compare its graphics with two consoles: the xbox one x and the xbox one s. thanks to the added 12 gb of video memory for the xbox one x: this console is able to load in more textures and therefore offer a richer and more enhanced gaming experience. the lack of video memory on the nvidia geforce gtx 970 only lets you set the texture streaming budget to high, which affects the surrounding and how the environment looks and loads in on this budget gaming pc.

More video memory is therefore needed for the best gaming experience. graphics cards such as the amd radeon rx 590 and the gtx 1070 both offers 8gb vram which would be nessecary to meet the highest graphics settings in apex legends.

About apex legends:
Apex Legends is a battle royale game borrowing concepts of the hero shooter, taking place 30 years after the events of Titanfall 2. Player are grouped into squads of three and play with against other squads in up to 60 player matches to scour the game map for weapons, ammo, and other equipment as to be last team standing. Unique to Apex, players that are downed by opponents can be respawned back into the game if their squadmates take certain actions within a short period of time after the player is killed.

Each player selects from a Legend character that possess unique skills and abilities but can be customized in appearance. At launch, the game featured eight Legends: Bloodhound, a technilogical tracker, Gibraltar, a shielded fortress, Lifeline, a combat medic, Pathfinder, a forward scout, Wraith, an interdimensional skirmisher, Bangalore, a professional soldier, Caustic, a toxic trapper, and Mirage, a holographic trickster. Caustic and Mirage must be purchased through in-game currency. While the Titans of Titanfall are not present in Apex Legends, acrobatic gameplay features of these Titans are mirrored in Apex, including vaulting, sliding, and jumping long distances.

Apex Legends is free-to-play and supported through microtransactions which can be used to buy in-game currency, usable to purchasing new Legend characters, Apex Packs (the game's version of loot boxes with randomized cosmetic items that have no gameplay impact), and battle passes which reward players with new seasonal cosmetic items by completing in-game challenges
