Edward follows James Kidd as he leads him into temple-like structure and explains him more about the assassins, their creed and purpose with Edward misinterpreting the assassins' motto "Nothing is true, everything is permitted" as permission for one to do as he pleases. Eventually, Edward and Kidd reach a large puzzle-like mechanism which they solve together, its completion revealing a carved stone face resembling that of Sage, Edward noting that the statue's eye color matches Sage's. He also explains that Torres and his Templars took a dose of Sage's blood when he was brought into Havana...
