0As they leave the temple, Edward and James Kidd run into Ah Tabai. Upon telling him what they found in the temple, assassin reveals that Edward's recognition of the Sage means that Assassins and Templars will start fighting to secure the man first. He also reveals that Edward's sale of Duncan Walpole's maps to Torres allowed the Templars to find them, revealing that a group of British soldiers has landed on Tulum and successfully rounded up most of the Assassins and even apprehended Edward's crewmates. As the result, Edward and James work together to free enough assassins and pirates to fight the British off. Later, Edward finds a ship belonging to a Dutch slave trader named Laurens Prins as it departs, discovering that he brought the soldiers that attacked Tulum and that the local branch of the Assassins has been hunting him for years...
