One of the first games Intellivsion fans will think of when they wax nostalgic about the system. Great space shooter in which you guide a space cannon left and right at the bottom of the screen firing upwards at descending space rocks, UFOs, falling "spinners" and guided missiles. Letting rocks get past you will drop your score by half the rock's point value, and letting spinners get past you costs you a life! Guided missiles can pin you in a corner with no way out-- unless you use the hyperspace button (number 3) but use it only as a last resort, since you can be put in the path of a descending rock quite easily! Spinners alert you to their presence with a helpful tone, and later in the game many can be on the screen at once. Large rocks can split into 2 small rocks when shot, so don't shoot them when they are *just* over you and descending fast, or you can get nailed quite easily. The UFO enemy will appear after you pass 20,000 points and sweeps from one edge of the screen to the other, firing constantly at you. Note that the screen changes color as your score increases-- this is important, as this indicates that the point value for all enemies/rocks shot will increase via bonus multiplier. The speed of the enemies will also increase as your score rises. This absolute classic has more to it than you might notice upon first glance. Hope you all are staying safe, keeping distance from each other and washing/sanitizing your hands. We'll get through this eventually and return to some semblance of normalcy one day. Best wishes to all!
