Verm is a hidden character in this game, and is an unlockable playable character.

===== About Verm =====
Despite his name being shortened (most likely because it wouldn't fit in the space under the lifebar), he is obviously Vermilion, the firearms user we all know. He appears in Nitoshinden in his trademark black 'raven jacket' outfit.

To suit the "playful" and "kiddy" atmosphere of the game, he fires pencils and bottle corks from his weapons.

===== About Battle Arena Nitoshinden =====
This is clearly a game that is aimed for the younger players/kids. The characters are all "deformed" and the game is cheerful, slapstick and humor. The atmosphere isn't serious.

Despite what you see in the video, the gameplay does not play anything like regular Toshinden at all... and most certainly does not play like a regular 3D fighting game. It's actually annoying to control (DF or DB makes you roll/slide!), the moves seem to be limited, and gameplay is mostly 'one-hit' strikes.

Interestingly, this game was scheduled to be released in the US under the same of Toshinden Kids but got cancelled.
