Every time I finish a video for this channel I go through a period of sifting through various works in progress to decide what I'm gonna sink my time into next. After In the Court of the Crustacean King, I spent about a month trying to figure that out and re-doing one of my favorite covers (which was simultaneously one of my biggest execution misses) felt like the best route.

I started by pretty much gutting the guitars and re-recording them with my new instruments and plugins, which needed to be redone several times. I'm honestly a bit annoyed at how long it took to get all the riffs sounding just right, but after that and re-tooling the entire solo section, things were coming together.

You all may be thinking "Gee Chris, thats a lot of time to re-record a few parts." And you would be right. But aside from that I started doing sound design and composition work as well as doing my very best to not make people I care about hate me for being an unavailable jackhole, so let's just leave it at I've been busy.

Anyways from the moment I added wind as an element to the song I knew I wanted to film this outside and give the video as much "summer vibe" as possible. To get the best shots possible, I got some help from my good friend Trajon. We dealt with ticks and snakes and the oh so disrepectful sun, and wound up with some pretty nice footage if I may say so. There are some blurry bits (particularly with the performance shots) that I'm fairly certain could be solved with a different lens, and some editing choices I'm not 100% sure about, but this one had a lot less "eh... good enough." than previous videos. I genuinely feel like its the best I could get with the resources that I have and I'm stoked to finally get to share it with you all. Hope you enjoy it!!!
