So this is definitely not the video I was hoping to have done this week, but I honestly don't care. When Prequelle first came out, I was in a band called Dear Abigayle (or The After depending on who you asked and when). We had just lost our singer and were struggling to keep ourselves focused and motivated without any real plans, goals, or direction. One of our guitarists had recommended learning a bunch of covers, one of them being Dance Macabre. It was my first time listening to the band and I instantly needed to learn every song on the album.

I only got about halfway through if I'm honest, but Miasma stood out to me both because it was an instrumental in an otherwise pretty straightforward rock album, but the scales in the main riff were just plain fun to play. When I got done rearranging my office and was deciding on the next playthrough to do, it was right at top of my list.

Now for a little update on other things for those that care to read this far in: As of my posting this, I'm being held up on video making. I've got the materials and the space, but finding the time while making sure my kids are taken care of has proven difficult. My responsibilities as a Dad and Husband always come first, so I hope you all understand when I say it'll get done when it gets done.

That said, I have some other cool stuff in the works outside of music videos to share with you: Firstly, this coming week I will be licensing and putting a select few of my VGM arrangements up on streaming platforms so that you all can enjoy them wherever you get your music from. This has been a long time coming and will also include a previously unreleased bass jam, so I hope you all look forward to that. I'm also going to be livestreaming my entire first playthough of Pokemon Violet over on twitch (remember when I used to stream?) so that you don't have to. I've been avoiding gaming content for a while, but I really like the idea of getting to share a new adventure with everyone as well as talk about my long standing love of the series.
