For the uninitiated among you, I have A LOT of history with Street Fighter V. To put it short, starting in 2016, I competed in Street Fighter tournaments at a local, regional, and national level. I organized tournaments, streamed countless matches, whole kit and kabootle. When Ed was introduced to the game in Season 2, I didn't think much of it, but over the next 3 years I would spend thousands of hours playing the character. He was so much fun! Great anti airs, multiple tools for breaking armor, and most of all, the most disrespectful reversal in all of video games. I really grew to adore playing him.

So, inevitably, I wanted to cover his theme. To say its the most... Divisive song on the OST I think would be a fair statement and I wanted to bring a completely different spin to it. On top of that, it has a vocal part, which was very outside of my wheelhouse. The arrangement came together quick enough, but not having a lot of experience recording vocals, especially dirty ones, left me with a whole bunch of trial and error in the mixing stage. Even now I listen back to it and think "its solid, but I feel like I could do more with it." Oh well. Lessons for next time I suppose.

For the video, I've taken with the theme of the year that less footage that looks better is actually way more. Everything from shot framing, performance energy, and backdrop lighting has been fine tuned even better than the last couple videos and, in my opinion, I think it looks miles better. My amazing wife Michaela has been volunteering her time to give me an extra set of eyes and ears while recording footage, and her keen eye for detail has been instrumental in just how much the video quality has improved this year.

I'm immensely proud of this one. I feel like there are far less miss-steps that are visible in the final video, and it sets a good standard for future video productions. I hope you all enjoy it!!
