So the story behind this one is a funny one. Around March 10th I saw Ro Panuganti post in his discord group about looking for people to arrange for a GameGrooves thing. Me, not really think about it, agreed. The catch: it had to be arranged and recorded with a certain degree of quality in 10 days. Ro was gonna handle mixing when it was all said and done (which he did a wonderful job of) but it was still a daunting task for me.

After settling on which song I was gonna do I had no time to overthink my idea. I wanted it to be more prog rock than metal, kinda indicative of 70's/80's prog (you know the ones). Knowing I was still gonna be on the same album with guys like Sumask and Ro though, I knew I had to bring a little bit of a heavier element at some point to fit in which is where we got that low-low E riff towards the middle. It was also VERY apparent to me that I was not going to have enough time to think up a solo that was gonna be any count which is where Nah Tony came in to save the day.

Side note: on no less than 3 occasions during this process I would have a question for Ro about whatever, which he was always happy to answer, but he would also gently remind me that it was already covered in the material they gave us at the start of the project. He was a gentleman about it, but as someone who is used to giving the "disappointed dad" look, it cracked me up to imagine him giving me the same look every time.

By the time it got time to record the video, I was excited to use my new camera and lights and other toys, but I was mentally exhausted. It didn't help that real life got super hectic around the same time but for a few weeks, every day I got up and told myself I had to record footage later and when later inevitably came, I was half asleep on my feet. Footage looked ugly, had to do a bunch of retakes, I swear I was cursed for a minute there.

Through all that though I managed to persevere and I couldn't be happier with how everything came out. I have nothing but love for everyone that had a hand (ha) in working on this and I hope that everyones efforts are as apparent to you all as they are to me. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy it.
