BC Kid (Amiga) - A Playguide and Review - by LemonAmiga.com
Bonks Adventure, er sorry, PC... I mean BC Kid is a conversion of a flagship TurboGrafix-16 title, which manages to be much improved over the original.
Production Notes:
I've been messing around with the recording equipment and editing of the audio, so the narration on this was either too loud or way to quiet. I had to do levelling and mixing just to make the narration actually work without drowning out the game. Having been totally unimpressed with the narration voice filter for some time, and the audio from my computer, I decided to redo the filter again, so after this vid hopefully I wont have to balance each sentence individually.
No comparison zone again, sorry. The Amiga version look the best though, and comparing this to the original game left nothing more to be said. I should have gone the extra mile, but I wanted to clear the decks and actually get in front on this work so that I can get on with side projects and special shows. I'm going to take a break from the reviews after episode 20 (Golden Axe) for a bit, to help this process, so there is less in the way of deadlines.
Bugs: Nils (Nil-z?) Meier (My-er, Mire) and his brother Sven. I did the whole review before checking the correct pronunciation, using the reference Sid Meier. Inserting overdubs to cover this, and doing the sections again, wasnt an option so I flagged it with a few comments. My vids are always bugged, and there are probably more than this. Its always annoying to realise something after the fact. Like when I said Antony Crowther invested Monty Mole - it still kills me to this day. Hope you are enjoying these, do leave a comment.
