Released 12/19/1985, Binary Land for Famicom is a puzzle maze game with action elements developed by Momo and published by Hudson Soft. Essentially an enhanced port of a similar title for the MSX, this version substitutes penguins for humans but is otherwise quite similar. The goal is to traverse each maze with your partner mirroring your movement, avoiding or destroying spiders and their webs. To unlock the heart and end each level, you must arrive at the end simultaneously.

This game is adorable, but apparently too close to Sex Ed for the American NES audience. If you hold A and B on both controllers while hitting the Reset button on the title screen you will learn the pet names of these characters and that this is a "love story." Apparently it's even possible to give birth to a baby penguin in this game. Shout out to The Cutting Room Floor for uncovering these and many other wonderful easter eggs.

I am considering a playthrough to be beating the Hi Score. I played on an original NES with a Game Genie adapter (see Shorts) to allow for playing a Famicom cartridge. I am using a NES original controller, RCA cables, and a Sharp X-Flat 27" CRT TV.
