BioShock 2: Minerva's Den Walkthrough Part 3: The Thinker (FINAL LEVEL & ENDING)
2Upon thawing the access doorway into The Thinker's core, Sigma enters it, proceeding to pursue heavily spliced Reed Wahl through its winding corridors. As he does, Sigma finds the audio log revealing that, aware that Wahl has framed him as Fontaine's supporter and that he will likely be transformed into a Big Daddy, Porter used last hours as a free man to create a final directive for The Thinker called Rapture Departure Protocol by which he ordered the computer's AI to find a way to get itself out of Rapture by any means necessary so that it could eventually be reassambled on the surface and serve humanity and is contacted by Wahl who realizes that actual Porter couldn't have been helping Sigma due to his likely fate. Regardless, Sigma pushes on until he finally enters the very heart of Minerva's Den hosuing a sprawling structure of The Thinker. However, as he enters its control room to print out the computer's code and blueprints, Sigma is confronted by Wahl who shuts off The Thinker, causing entire Minerva's Den to start falling apart. Realizing that he will have to defeat Wahl in combat in order to reactivate The Thinker and print out its code and schematics, Sigma engages him in an violent shootout within the collapsing room from which he emerges victorious, killing Wahl in the process. As he reactivates The Thinker, Sigma is faced with a horrifying truth; He is Charles Milton Porter who was transformed into Alpha Series Big Daddy codenamed Sigma after being imprisoned by Ryan's government a decade prior while "Porter" who guided him through Minerva's Den was actually The Thinker, who mimicked Milton's own voice and personality using its AI to gain Porter's trust more easily as it essentially recruited its creator to help it complete Rapture Departure Protocol a decade after it was enacted. Porter is also contacted by Brigid Tenenbaum who, still intent on acquiring The Thinker in order to find a cure for ADAM addiction, asks Porter to collect its code and join her within his private bathysphere located below his office in The Thinker's core so that they both could leave the city and start their research into cure for ADAM addiction by restoring Milton to his human state. Upon collecting the printout of The Thinker's code and entering his office, Porter discovers that his attempt to revive his wife through The Thinker succeeded but that he gave up at the last moment, aware that his real wife is dead and that she wouldn't want to be revived as a hollow artificial intelligence. Eventually, Porter meets up with Tenenbaum and two make their way back to the surface with Tenenbaum's experiments eventually succeeding in fully restoring Porter to his former self. Now a human being once more, Porter visits his wife's grave in order to make last amends for trying to revive her through the computer and finally moves on, both from her death and from his horrifying ordeal in Rapture.
And this brings the story of BioShock 2 to a complete end on this channel, dear gamers.
