BioShock 2 Walkthrough Part 5: Siren Alley
2As Sinclair and Delta make their way out of Pauper's Drop, their train is hit by a torpedo launched by "Father" Simon Wales, a crazed zealot and a high-ranking member of Sophia Lamb's cult operating out of nearby Siren Alley district. With the train destroyed, Delta ends up thrown out onto the sea floor and knocked out. Upon regaining consciousness soon afterwards, he is contacted by Sinclair who has also survived the explosion. He informs Delta that their train was destroyed and has crashed into Dionysus Park, a district neighboring Siren Alley, leaving him trapped within the ruined train with a small air pocket as the entire Dionysus Park is locked down and flooded. With Delta being his only hope of survival, Sinclair tells him that in order to drain the park, he will have to venture into Siren Alley and use its pumping station in order to divert the water out of the district. Intent on saving Sinclair and clearing his way towards Fontaine Futuristics, Delta obliges and enters Siren Alley, quickly discovering that the district was once a respectable masons' quarter of Rapture full of high-end shops and best architectual solutions the city could offer at its peak before essentially becoming the city's red light district after the societal collapse in Rapture as majority of the district's population turned to prostitution in order to support themselves with the district being jointly ran by Simon and Daniel Wales, pair of twin architects from Ireland who were hired to create the architectual plans for Rapture. As the situation in Rapture took a turn for worse, both brothers turned to ADAM abuse and quickly joined the growing Splicer population with Simon's ADAM-fueled delusions leading him to join Lamb's cult and eventually become its most feverent preacher while Daniel became the main pimp within the district and took over Pink Pearl, a hotel-turned brothel. While making his way through district, Delta also discovers that Lamb's cult worships Eleanor, seeing her as a "vessel" through which Rapture's entire population will be reborn. In order to drain Dionysus Park and rescue Sinclair from drowning, Delta is first forced to enter Pink Pearl in order to find Daniel Wales and force him to give up the code leading to the district's pumping station where Simon took shelter and the pump controls needed to drain Dionysus Park are located. With Daniel, whose relationship with Simon has deteriorated due to their opposing views on Lamb's cult, believing Delta to have been sent by Simon and trying to escape, Delta is forced to fight his way through Daniel's Splicers before eventually cornering and killing him on the top floor of Pink Pearl and finding an audio note which reveals the code to be 1919. With the code in hand, Delta makes his way into the pumping station and discovers that it was converted into an makeshift chapel of Lamb's cult. With Simon Wales being in possession of the key needed to start the pumps, Delta is forced to engage him and his followers in a violent shootout within their makeshift chapel, ultimately managing to kill Wales. However, as he diverts the water from Dionysus Park, Delta is contacted by Sophia Lamb who remotely hijacks the pump controls and overloads them, causing the Siren Alley to be consumed in an massive flood which Delta survives. With his way towards Dionysus Park free, Delta proceeds towards the district...
