Black Mesa - How To Unlock The Xen When VERY RARE Achievement!
0In order to unlock the Xen When achievement, you must play through Chapter 14 until you get to the Lambda Teleporter room.
Once you get to the Lambda Teleporter room, a Scientist will talk to you briefly, saying that he needs to charge the teleporter. After a little while, a breach will occur, and enemies will start to pour into the room. Fend them off, and use the health and armor pickups around the room when needed.
After a bit of fighting enemies, the teleporter will be ready and the Scientist will tell you to jump in. INSTEAD of jumping in, create a manual save. This is NOT needed for the achievement, but since you die when you get this achievement, you can just reload here and jump in without having to wait for the teleporter to be charged again.
After the Scientist tells you to jump in (and creating a save if you chose to), just run around fighting the enemies and staying alive. A little while later, the teleporter will explode, killing you, and unlocking the achievement!
