Although I once played Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel extensively since launch, this is my first time ever uploading the gameplay to this channel leveraging Vulkan-based translation layer DXVK-async on its ageing engine to maintain higher performance under Windows 10 22H2 than the stock Direct3D 9 API that the game ships with, though can still be bottlenecked amidst heavy firefights as the game is heavily single-threaded, even with maximum graphics settings and some tweaks to the mix. This is with PhysX effects toned down significantly at the development of this game even at Ultra.

Other remarks:

As the game is based on Borderlands 2's modified Unreal Engine 3, virtually all of the same tweaks from Borderlands 2 are also applicable here. The Ultra HD Texture Pack is not used in this video as it occasionally caused the game to think it ran out of video memory and crash, even with a 8 GB card like the RTX 3070 and the .ini tweaks above, as the game was not originally designed to handle such textures in mind.
