Captain Dynamo (Amiga) Playthrough / Back from retirement, for this one last short mission .
Captain Dynamo (1992) by Codemasters is example of a platform game so average that it should be the determinant of this rating .You can see here that the developers no longer had any idea how to develop this game further, making the game seem like an unfinished project from start to finish. Well it is a typical platformer, in which we move vertically to the goal of our mission. Our goal is practically only to collect points and survive all the way to the top of the rocket. Yes the area we move on according to a short note on Wikipedia is the rocket of some villain who stole diamonds from somewhere, and our returning from retirement hero is tasked with recovering them. The game is really easy, so mastering and passing it to anyone with two capable hands is unlikely to be a problem. There are no sound effects in the game, only music, which may not be to everyone's liking..... personally I like the songs for nostalgic reasons, but I think they should be more dynamic and it would undoubtedly enrich this somewhat boring gameplay. Apart from jumping and avoiding terrain ledges there is not much to do here and the game can be finished in 11~12 min , or maybe even less. Graphically the game looks good, but overall the environment does not appeal to me. Definitely the developers could have done better. And so we have only a mediocre game, which is more on the borderline of slightly below average for the general lack of content. But you have to admit that the controls are responsive and everything is well balanced..... it really seems to me that if the developers had made more of an effort with this game, something really decent could have come out of it. It's a shame.
