As a non Maxon ZBrush legacy user I recently ran into trouble with Reallusion Character Creator's latest CC4.42 update. The Hub encourages you to get the latest CC4 but doesnt tell you that GoZ has become CC GoZ Plus which will require you to have the absolute latest/last version of perpetual ZBrush already installed. If you are like me you probably dont. There is a fatal flaw though if you eventually figure out how to get the latest Zbrush 2022.0.8 installer (you have to get it from Pixologic and not use the Maxon app) you will likely mangle up your install folder or on purpose decide a different name for it. Be warned if you try to initiate a CC GoZ Plus transfer with the latest valid Zbrush whatever directory that thing was on the moment you pressed the button is the exact location CC4.42 is going to recognize forever, FOREVER! So please be very careful were you installed your latest ZBrush because CC4 will think it lives there forever and assumably you cannot relocate it later until Reallusion rolls out another CC4 version that lets you update or correct your ZBrush location manually.

The next hang up was if you have a valid ZBrush and CC4 has encoded the location you will eventually get the GoZ export dialog BUT your mesh, avatar, character whatever will never actually send and ZBrush will also never actually open. This is likely happening because the latest install of ZBrush decided to name its executable "ZBrush 2022.exe". CC4.42 seems to be scripted up to be looking for "ZBrush.exe". Change your executable back to that name and hopefully if you experienced this same data transfer disconnect you should now witness that pressing GoZ actually gives the export dialog window and fully opens up ZBrush (if it were closed) with your latest model data ready to go.

Feel free to comment below and I will try to answer any questions but Im just an end user like most of you all so I cant really explain how or why the is the solution which worked for me or why CC4 is like this lol. Also please refer to other videos for the return trip if you are having trouble to get edited data from ZBrush to roundtrip back - I dont show that setup here because I had already successfully restored my latest version GoZ apps to support the new CC GoZ Plus plugin.
