We are in command of a Klingon Frigate, IKV War Slayer, model F5C, C meaning this is the command variant, slightly up-gunned. It has 2 disruptors, a couple phaser-1s and phasers-2, and a missile launcher. I do have sensor decoys ("Wild Weasels") and scatter packs, but I don't often use them.
Instead, I am using what's known as the "anchor" technique, which was often used by the Gorn. Basically, you charge up your tractor beam, and as you get close to the enemy, you grab them. This prevents them from deploying the sensor decoy, and it prevents them from outrunning your missiles, as you can slow way down, countering their high speed, thus "anchoring" them. Get it? We can then shoot them at our leisure.
I also use hit-and-run raids by my marines to wreck their tractor beam so they can't defend against my drones without using their phasers.
Keep in mind that Orion ships self-destruct when you capture them. You'll get credit for capturing one, but you can't command them to fight for you.
