Welcome to Captain Chang Plays... Starfleet Command, now we are doing the Klingon Campaign.

Yes, I am quite aware of General Chang in Star Trek VI. No, not related (that I know of).

Anyway, we are playing the Klingon Campaign, and due to my relative unfamiliarity with the Klingon ships, we are going through the Academy lessons.

Klingon ships use disruptors, instead of photon torpedoes. Basically, they do half the damage, but fire twice as often, as the photon torpedoes. This, plus the improved firing arcs of Klingon ships and where they mount their weapons (on the "shoulders") means they tend to have good firing arcs conducive to fancier maneuvers where they keep the range open and wear you down by dancing just outside of overload range. This is known as "Klingon Saber Dance".

Lesson 4 turned out to take a VERY VERY long time... a whole hour, whereas the first three lessons took 10 minutes each.
