We are called to patrol this sector, and we're expecting pirates. We were not disappointed, and they are almost ridiculously easy to dispatch.

Starfleet Command has the plan to deal with the imperials. Starfleet Intelligence uncovered Commodore Decker's main base of operations, and an assault is being readied, but it's a diversion. You will escort a freighter with a "star tap", which draws energy from the local star to start a disruption of local space, which, if done right, should send all nearby Imperial ships back to their universe.

Clearly, you need to protect this freighter at all costs.

As I am in a cruiser, I decided to help the freighter alone by tractoring it, and went full speed ahead, trusting that my missiles will be sufficient to keep the enemies away, and it worked quite well. My NCD is off harassing other ships, and I was able to get the freighter to the destination much faster, so that only an NCL and an FF intercepted me. The FF died, and NCL had to turn away. I dropped the freighter off when I heard that we have "achieved orbit", and I keep shooting at the NCL until the freighter sent all the Imperials back to where they belonged. My NCD took a little damage, but it's minor.

However, it seems Commodore Decker's flagship was not present in the area...
