Sky Shark, arcade conversion by Software Creations and Published by Taito in 1988.

"SKY SHARK - Strap in for the Flight of your Life. Take off on an incredible World War II fighter mission that challenges your pilot skills and more. You'll go behind enemy lines and try to save your buddies from a terrible fate. The odds are against you, but that has never stopped you before. Sky Shark game features include arcade quality graphics, full range sound effects and multiple levels of play."

A classic shoot-em-up from Taito based on the Arcade game of the same name. You control your plane through 5 levels shooting anything that moves and bombing any big or troubling targets in your way. Red waves can drop a weapon upgrade and yellow waves can drop a score bonus. The game is endless and loops after the five levels have been completed.

I show two loops in order to show if the difficulty has gone up. In flying shark the difference was very obvious, but in Sky Shark I am not so sure. If the game was known to have an ending id have tried to show a third loop but it does drag the video out.

Compared against the EU/UK release of Flying Shark, this game is a bit more detailed and better presented. It uses the full screen to full effect and would play notably slower on a pal machine. Sky Shark features either SFX or Music and cant mic both and personally I don't think Tim Folin was up to his usual high quality music standard with this game. I much prefer the music in Flying Shark.

Difficulty wise I think Sky Shark is the easier of the two as the enemy bullets are much easier to see and don't come at you at warp speed. But their are situations where there could be more bullets on screen in this game.
