ππ° COMX-35/COMiX-35: Part 9 (Loading software via high speed serial) [TCE #0516]
It's been a while since I last fiddled with these RCA 1802 powered machines.
I thought I'd try out this neat method of loading software (in .COMX format) directly onto the COMiX-35 via a simple serial port. Definitely much faster than loading a WAV file via the cassette port!

And ... it works! For some reason, I couldn't get the machine to boot after updating the 28C256 EEPROM with the new BASIC 1.04 that modifies the PLOAD command to load via the serial interface.
But it did finally work. Weird.
The machine also won't work properly when I set it to PAL mode ... incompatibility with the firmware version?
The 1802 group is still very active so I might ask their advice.
